Day Two Hundred Three

While visions of sugarplums dance in their heads, all I can think about is traveling.  My daughter is talking about how much she'd like to teach English abroad and my son has embarked on his adventure already and all this talk about other places has me itching.  Since I'm going to be somewhat grounded for a while, I simply have to plan some trips.  What I really truly crave, however, isn't an exotic trip to far away places but simply to be out in the middle of Nevada where it is quiet and supremely beautiful.  Someday before too long I'll be there in a hand-hewn home, growing delicious food, playing with my dog and making beautiful art.  Outside the deer and the antelope will play and the roosters can crow as loud as they'd like and nobody will care.  Ahhhhhh......

  1. Did you forget the coyotes singing to you and your chickens? I share your love of roosters crowing but then I get up very early. And I love coyote song, too. And you.

  2. Yes, and the coyotes singing. And out there I have the chance of seeing the occasional bighorn sheep or elk herd. Love you back.
