Day One Hundred Thirty Six

Love this, it cracked me up.  I tried to send an email to about ten recipients and a couple of addresses failed.  This is the error message I got:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent and fatal error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Kind of glib for a computer error message,  isn't it?  It makes me think about some of the lingo that I've become accustomed to with young people all around me.  A current common phrase is, "Dude, it was an epic fail."  Yes, my son addresses me as 'Dude'.  When I ask him to quit calling me that he switches to 'Dude Mom' for a while.  This is the kid who called me by my first name for the first thirteen years of his life.  Being fourth out of four and particularly clever, it didn't take him long to figure out that I was a bit immune to 'Mama', which the other kids all called me.  So he'd try that a few times and if I didn't respond he'd say, 'Kim', and I'd answer him.  They pretty much all dropped 'Mama' for 'Mom' at a certain age.  Thank goodness!  Can you imagine 'Dude Mama'?

Saw a picture today of a wonderful Queen of Hearts costume a friend made.  It prompted me to search for Alice in Wonderland furniture and I found this:

So cool, I like how it evokes motion...like dressers in a moving gypsy wagon. It retails for $16,200!!!!!  Yikes.

Here are the five things for today:
1.  Yet another Apple keyboard
2.  Still another Apple mouse
3.  A shovel - I'm only keeping ones with fiberglass handles
4.  A set of bells that hang on the door for bell training a dog to ask to be let out
5.  A stack of peat pots for starting plants
