One of the beautiful things about going small is that you can afford to appoint a small dwelling very nicely. I was looking at purple heart flooring online last night. When you're only dealing with 50 sf of floor space you can have purple heart. When you only have six cupboard doors you can dream of having them hand carved.
An aside...here comes "Cell Phone Guy" for his evening walk down my street. I don't know this man and while I admire his commitment to fitness I can't help but notice he is a funny sort. He always wears a pair a black shorts, white shoes and no shirt and holds his cellphone in one hand. He has an earbud in and talks very loudly on the phone the whole time he is walking. With his other hand he scratches his belly. I hear him coming and it makes me look up and out my window. He often talks about politics. Interesting ....but I digress
I've been thinking about my trip to the Habitat for Humanity store yesterday and the beautiful sink and toilet for $30. I'm rethinking whether or not it makes sense to buy wonderful things when I come across them and stockpile them for later use. I will certainly need a sink and a toilet if I build a little house. Hmmmmmm..... Anyone care to comment?
Today I'm letting go of:
1. A pair of striped pajama pants
2. A t-shirt with a Celtic dragon on it
3. A fire department t-shirt
4. Another ball glove
5. A long, rectangular planter box for plants
